BOSON VFX is a real-time visual effects studio located in Vancouver Canada. We are passionate about videogames and pride ourselves on creating high quality content. Our team has worked on some of the highest profile titles in gaming and have extensive knowledge of the unreal engine, visual effects workflows, and asset creation.

Mortal Kombat 1

The team here at BOSON VFX is proud to showkase the work we’ve done as a support studio for NetherRealm on Mortal Kombat 1. Our work spans cinematics and gameplay VFX as well technical and production support.

Mortal Kombat 1 is the latest title in the acclaimed Mortal Kombat videogame franchise developed by award-winning NetherRealm Studios. Welcome to a reborn Mortal Kombat Universe that has been created by the Fire God Liu Kang, featuring reimagined versions of iconic characters as they’ve never been seen before, along with a new fighting system, game modes, bone krushing finishing moves, and more.

Homeworld 3

We had the pleasure of partnering with Black Bird Interactive for the latest  entry in the sci-fi RTS series Homeworld. We here at BOSON VFX were honored in providing VFX solutions for both environment and combat scenarios across this gorgeous space epic.

Tactical, beautiful, and wholly unique, the GOTY-winning sci-fi RTS returns with Homeworld 3. Assume control and battle through fleet combat in dazzling, fully 3D space while the award-winning story unfolds on a galactic scale.

The Chant

In collaboration with the team at Brass Token our VFX artists at BOSON VFX helped bring The Chant’s horrific world to life.

 A single-player, third person horror action-adventure game set on a remote island spiritual retreat. A peaceful weekend soon turns to dread after a group chant opens The Gloom, a psychedelic dimension of terror that feeds off negative energy. Interact with a recurring cast of characters, untangle the complex history of the island, and witness terrifying revelations about the cosmos.
